A ‘Hot Issue’ bites

I’ve posted about the announcement relating to Lightroom 5 Hot Issues, but it’s a different ball game when that issue is one you’re really feeling.

I export a lot of stuff for web. Blogs, Facebook, Twitter etc, so this one is a pain. What is it, I hear you ask? Well, if you’re exporting at less than 1/3 of the original size of the file, sharpening and noise reduction are not applied.

Ouch. It bites, it stings.

A trip to photoshop is required. I have tried a few different output sharpening options too @800px output, but difference mode in Photoshop shows no difference.

While there has been a 4.4.1 release recently, we can only await a 5.01, or for that matter be stuck until 5.1.
