While obviously not Lightroom news, I just wanted to mention that Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac is finally available. It’s a great complementary program for Lightroom, especially for the budget conscious user. Featuring a cut down version of Bridge (rather than the Organiser), the Mac version has similar features to the Windows version.
Amen to that! Too bad most photographers don’t realize that. But after using Photoshop for a few years, then trying Elements, I couldn’t stand it! Things were moved around, and there were some important things missing, and I know I’ll use most of the advanced features PS CS3 Extended offers, so I spent the big bucks. But you’re right, MOST photographers don’t know more than 15% of what Photoshop can do. USE LAYER MASKS FOR GOSH SAKES!!!
Elements is the ultimate Adobe value. It does 90% or more of what “most” digital photographers need out of Photoshop.
