Lightroom Blog kicked off in August 2006 during the original Public Beta, prior to the launch of Lightroom 1. The blog concentrates on Photography with a special emphasis on Lightroom and Lightroom Addons. I use this product because I’m a photographers so I prefer to post more than just Lightroom! If you have something you’d like me to cover or review, please leave comment on a post or connect on social channels, where you’ll find me as @lightroomblog.
Who am I? I’m Sean McCormack, an Irish photographer, with an interest in photography people and places. I’ve been an Adobe Community Professional for over 10 years, and am author of a number of Lightroom books, as well as a writer for several magazines. During the period the program existed, I was a Fujifilm X-Photographer UK & Ireland.
As a developer, I’ve also created plugins and presets for Lightroom. Plenty of these were free, but with changing API’s and X (Twitter) now charging, these are gone. I do have a few commercial products available to help sustain the blog. Sponsors are also welcome.
Occasionally I will link via affiliate links, but only if I believe in the product and use it myself. Often, I’ve bought these products myself. If it’s part of a review, I generally will say that in the review.
In the early ’10s Lightroom Blog became part of Pixiq.com for nearly 2 1/2 years. Pixiq pulled the plug with very little notice for their authors, but I did mange to get most of my content back. There will be occasional links that don’t work, but most of the site is good. There’s a wealth of information here, so use the Search bar to get to it.
