Photoshop Lightroom 2 Made Easy
Photoshop Lightroom 2 Made Easy is a commissioned book for Photographers Institute Press, the book arm of GMC publications. GMC also publish magazines like Outdoor Photograper and Black and White Photography. The book is aimed as an introduction to Lightroom and mixes explanation with advice. It's not a comprehensive book, like some of the 400 and 600 page books out there, but it does aim to get the reader familiar with Lightroom, without too much stress or fuss.
Here's the Press Blurb "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is the essential application for professional and amateur photographers, allowing you to process and manage your digital files and present your images in different ways. Get to grips with the basics and learn how to integrate Lightroom into your workflow, from photo capture to final presentation. Top professional photographer and Lightroom expert Sean McCormack will guide you through all the features and techniques with clearly illustrated step-by-step tutorials. Particular focus is placed on Lightroom Basics, file management, development, advanced development, slideshows, printing, web output and, of course, all the new features of the latest Lightroom version - V2.0. "
There's also a nice review of the book on Amazon: "Other Lightroom books are already on the market. However for beginning Lightroom users they can be quite intimidating, with two of the most popular books totaling more than 400 and 600 pages each. This current book provides a clear guide and summary of Lightroom in some 150 pages. It is an excellent choice for beginners and a good summary that more advanced users can refer back to. There is a nice list of web resources that users can refer to for more information about Lightroom, including the authors own website. So should you buy this book? If you are just starting out in Lightroom or find it intimidating, the answer is a definite yes. It is Lightroom made easy!"
If you want to get a copy of the book from Amazon UK, click the Book Cover image to be taken there. You can also get it from Amazon US if that suits. There's a healthy chunk taken off the cover price. If you order with other books, you'll even get free shipping.
If a signed copy of the book is more your thing, I'm more than happy to sell you one. I don't get them for much less than Amazon sells them for, so I'd need to sell them full price. To sweeten the deal, I'll include a print from the book, inside the book. This will be 9"x6" and I'll make a selection of the images I will print available soon. I'm awaiting a shipment currently, so I'll post a link for purchase this when it's ready. Shipping will be added to the price of course, because it's just me here dealing with it, not a big company!
